The firm of Chartered Accountants, Wintergate Partners, had its origins in the establishment of J.F. Smith & Co. in the 1930’s, which in 1955 became Smith Jones & Co. After the admission of Michael Watson in 1977, and subsequently Steven Proud in 1980, the firm’s name was changed to that of Watson & Proud. Steven Proud left the Practice in 1988 to devote his time to the running of his family business. With the admission of Simon Chhoeu on 19th May 2003, the firm became known as Wintergate Partners.

Wintergate Partners currently operates at Suite 1, Level 1, 15-17 Argyle Street Parramatta. The firm provides a wide range of audit, accountancy, taxation, financial planning and business consultancy services to a diverse range of clients. Our client base is predominantly made up of companies involved in the wholesale, manufacturing, building and construction industries, and to a lesser extent, retail and service business, however, the firm has amongst its long term clients such as several registered clubs.

Our clients are diverse both in size and in industry. We have previously provided audit services to two listed Public Companies, one of which had an annual turnover of more than $350 million. Both of these companies became the subject of corporate acquisition and we were called to assist the smooth transitions.

The firm provides services to a range of clients from International companies to small concerns, largely business oriented.

Our place in the community is very important to us and we conduct honorary audits of Church, School and Charitable organisations.
